Arturia KeyStep Sequencing Keyboard
New for the 2016 NAMM show, Arturia unveil KeyStep – a compact 32 key USB keyboard with polyphonic step sequencer, CV and MIDI plus arpeggiator and chord mode!
KeyStep features a host of connectivity. Firstly it can play analogue synthesizers via its CV/Gate and Modulation outputs - this assignable modulation CV output can be used with the mod wheel, velocity or aftertouch. It can clock its sequencer to analogue devices via sync I/O as well as via MIDI or USB, and it can play and sequence software instruments via USB, and external studio hardware via its full-sized MIDI DIN I/O ports.
KeyStep features Arturia's new “slim key” keyboard action, balancing the best features of compact mini-keys with the musicality of full-sized keys in a new design, with velocity and aftertouch.
KeyStep includes a new polyphonic step-sequencer on-board, with 8 programmable memories that can be recalled at the turn of knob. Gate times and swing settings can be changed instantly to alter the feel of sequenced performances on the fly. The polyphonic step sequencer also features the ability to record, overdub, and transpose your sequences in real time, whilst still playing the keyboard live.
Add in a flexible and fun arpeggiator mode, and inspiring chord play mode, and KeyStep becomes far more than a keyboard – it's an inspiring tool for musical exploration.
