Stereo/Dual Mono Compressor/Limiter

Possibly the best value dual/stereo compressor on the market, these babies cost over £2k when new and are no longer made despite demand remaining high. Designed by Mr. Rupert Neve, they’re very much in the transition of the classic 33609 with separate limiting and compression plus humungous meters for those late night sessions when the eyes get bleary and the ears are shot.

Designed by Mr. Rupert Neve, this excellent dual comp/limiter is closely modelled on the Neve 33609, with separate limiter and compressor sections that can be used separately or together.
Definitely one of the better compressors on the market, these come along rarely and tend not to hang about so if you’re looking for a good professional compressor at less than a grand, this could be the one.

Catchy name, and informative too. Versatile solid state stereo/dual unit with “Ambiance” feature, designed to reduce background noise in the output signal. The manual says that with Ambiance selected the output of the channel becomes the difference between the compressed signal and the input, i.e. the peaks that the compressor chops off. Users say that the effect is like subtle gating, and has both music and broadcast applications.
