Lexicon is to reverbs what Hoover is to vacuum cleaners - the brand is synonymous with the best in digital reverberation.
We still sell as many of the classic Lexicon's (PCM70,s, 200's, 224. 224XL, 480L) as we can get our avaricious mitts on, for the simple reason that they have a density of sound and a realism lacking in any other unit. Ever wondered how your favourite record got that rich vocal or drum reverb? Wonder no more - odds on it was a mainframe Lex (or an EMT plate). The classic Lexicon sound wraps itself around a signal, becoming part of the sound rather than floating above as so many modern reverbs do. Indeed, word has it that the Lexicon 480L was eventually discontinued due to high manufacturing costs rather than lack of demand, and judging by the constant enquiries for used reasons, I can believe it.
